He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Arthur Reed and Mary Goldie Arnold Reed; his siblings, Roy Reed and Mary Lee Coleman; and his children, Richard Adam Reed, Phillip Harrell Reed, Mayla Reed and Susan Reed Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Worley Reed; his daughters, Sherrie Thomas (Chuck), Tricia Mealer (Gregg) and Kathrine Franks; his nephew Raymond Arnold Coleman (Kathy); and his granddaughters, Kayce Wiley, Ashley Butler and Abby Butler.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Science Hill Church of Christ Building Fund in his honor.
