He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Edwards and Roberta Burks (Ted); and his siblings, Charles Edwards, Kathy Barnes and Judy Small.

He is survived by: his daughter Stacey Jernigan (Frank); his sisters, Patricia Pruitt (Bobby), Beatrice Bailey (Russell) and Janet Burks (Floyd); his grandchildren, Neely Jernigan and Cooper Jernigan; his girlfriend Sandra Ezzelle; and his stepfather Conley Hamby (Trudy).
