He was predeceased by: his wife Jane Mears Barrett; his parents, Malcolm Barrett and Mary Hall Barrett; his children, Jeff Barrett and Karen Ferrell; and his siblings, Eugene Barrett, William Barrett, Walter Barrett, Roger Dale Barrett, Jennie Lee Taylor, Sylvia Finch and Ann Shull.
He is survived by: his children, Shonda Waldron (Rick), Jackie Manis (Kevin), Teresa Hollis (Fred), Patrick Scott and Chris Scott; and his siblings, Burton Barrett (Ann), Mildred Houston (Doug) and David Barrett (Denise). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tennessee Veterans Home.
