He is survived by: his grandson Michael Lynn Tompkins; his children, Michael Maynard of Cookeville, Brenda Tompkins of Gainesboro, TN and Phyllis Stapleton of Georgia; and his sister Maureen Hendrixson. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
