He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady "Doc" Pendergrast and Jewell "Goldie" Pendergrast; his sons, Donald and Larry Pendergrast; and his siblings, Ray, Glenn, Vernon Pendergrast and Yvonne Pendergrast Sanford.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Pendergrast; his children, Dwayne Pendergrast (Cathy), Darin Pendergrast (Cheri) and Diane Davenport (Grigg); and his brother Jay Pendergrast (Betty). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
