He was predeceased by: his father Jacob Morton; his wife Sylvia Ann Pinkerton Morton; his son Timothy P. Morton; his grandchildren, Amy Tatham and Addison Scott Bond; and his sisters, Margaret Smith and Virginia Spence.
He is survived by: his children, Judith Jacqulyn Burklew (Anthony), James Jacob Jr. Morton (Kay) and Paul Joseph Morton (Julie). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild.
