He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Magness and Elizabeth Magness; and his siblings, Huston Magness, Edna Spiva, Sue Garner and Mickey Yoakum.
He is survived by: his significant other Elizabeth Stinnett (Toots); his granddaughters, Sonya and Wendy Jones of Kingsport; his sister Jo Simmerly; his sister-in-law Edith Magness; his close friends, Dotty Davis, Dave Christenberry, George Mitchel, Junior Johnson of Knoxville, Delane Conoway and Renae Conoway of Alabama; and also, Teresa Garner, Benjamin Breeden of Rockford, Susie Brandon, Rick Brandon of Nashville, Kim Jones, Tim Jones, Andrew Maupin of Kingsport and Randy Garner. He is also survived by Daughters, Son-in-law, Grandsons.
