He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Jane Purkey and Clyde Edgar Purkey; and his brothers, Billy Joe Purkey and Jimmy Rae Seabolt. He is survived by: his siblings, Juanita Gribble, Betty Roberts, Linda Purkey Stevens-Tipton, Charles Purkey and Claud Purkey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
