She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Young and Joyce Cordell Young; her husband Lawrence Frank Palmer; and her daughter Danvert Palmer. She is survived by: her children, Henry Palmer, Carmelita Whitehead (Jeffrey) of Roan Mountain and Mildred Smith (Boyd) of Elizabethton; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Whitehead (Jess Sharp), Mary Birchfield (Gregory), Jessica Whitehead (Seth Snyder), Raymond Whitehead (Olivia), Mitchell Whitehead (April) and Marvin Smith; and her great grandchildren, Tristan Birchfield, Cain Birchfield and Harper Smith.
