With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Allen Jay Alexander of Riceville, Tennessee, born in Watertown, New York, who passed away on March 19, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Clifford and Irene Pearl Lanpher Alexander; his sister Alice Ann Phillips (Max); and his wife Patricia Teselle Alexander. He is survived by: his daughters, Lyn Fine of Cleveland and Lanell; his son-in-law Joe Nichols of Riceville; his son Tom; his daughter-in-law Laura Alexander of Cleveland; and his close friend Harry Edward Koonce, III. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be made to Johnson University for the scholarship of Gair & Alexander Scholarship Fund @johnsonuniversity-knoxville, tn.
