He was predeceased by: his wife Gladys Leslie; his parents, Albert Leslie and Mable Leslie; and his siblings, Riley Tucker, Charles, Thomas Leslie, Jewel Tucker, Laura Canter and Hattie Jackson.
He is survived by: his children, James Leslie Jr., Jerry Leslie (Andrea), Brenda Wilson (Bobby), Janice Hicks (John Jr.) and Connie Stokes (Ronald); and his brothers, Clifford, Edward and Robert Leslie. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
