He was predeceased by: his father Horace Lee; his sister Jean Briscoe; and his stepson John "Squirrel" Campbell. He is survived by: his wife Janice Rose Kirkpatrick of Pulaski; his sons, Donald Kirkpatrick, Jr. (Sarah) of Athens and Daniel Kirkpatrick (Maranda) of Somerville, AL; his stepdaughter Michelle Bevels (Jason); his siblings, Frankie, Larry Kirkpatrick of Hartselle, Cornelia Kirkpatrick of Moulton, AL and Donna Turcotte of Decatur; and his grandchildren, Weston, Nathan, Dawson, Savannah, Hannah, Mackenzie, Emma, Raven and Jessica. He is also survived by his 6 great grandchildren.
