She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerm B. Thomas and Lucy Bell Thomas (Givens); her husband J. L. "Shorty" Dixon; and her children, Donnie Lee Dixon and Rita Gail Dixon.
She is survived by: her children, Garry J. Dixon (Heather) of Portland, TN and Thresia DePriest (Richard) of Portland, TN; her grandchildren, J. D. DePriest, Benjamin DePriest, Richard Jr. DePriest, David DePriest, Halie Dixon Clark and Halston Dixon; and her brother Elvin B. Thomas. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
