He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Paul Bales, Sr. and Edith Lucille Davis Bales; his wife Cynthia Blackwelder Bales; his siblings-in-law, Anita Smith (Frankie) of Bristol, VA, Denise King (Mitch) of Bristol, TN and Bryan Blackwelder (Nicole) of Jacksonville, FL; his nieces and nephews, Megan Yon (Daniel), Cody Smith, Cailyn King, Lauren Vanderpool (Austin) and Brandon Blackwelder; his great-nieces, Isabella Hutton and Kennedie Yon; his great-nephew Jaxon Yon; and his cousin Tina Donahue (Martin).
