It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nyla Rose Hodge of Pikeville, Tennessee, who passed away on July 8, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rathmel Rebron and Ruby Lee Smith Reece; her son Ivan Melvin Smith; her siblings, Effie Smith, Elizabeth Narramore, Treva Blaylock, James Claude, Charles Eugene "Gene", Leo and Lavaughn Reece; and her siblings-in-law, Eugene Smith, Hershel Narramore, Joe Pendergrass, Paul Holland, Hazel and Ina Ruth Reece.
She is survived by: her former husband Roger Hodge; her children, Christy Hearne (Bobby), Monica Blankenship (Ronald), Robbie Hodge (Tracey) and Ritchie Hodge; her grandchildren, Clarissa Burgess (Chris Eikle), Natasha Kean (Michael), Gage Smith, Grace Holland (Bret), Chase Smith, Jesse Blankenship (Tara), Steven and Jacob Hodge; her great grandchildren, Eden Kean, Rylee Eikel, Lucas Smith, Mason Smith, Sophie Kean and Skylar Holland; her sisters, Doris Harwood, Willie Mae Pendergrass and Evelyn Defur (James); her brother-in-law Harold Blaylock; and her caregiver Alex Dodson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews; cousins; and a host of friends.
