He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Elmon L. and Kathleen P. Stephens; his grandparents, Robert, Elizabeth Stephens, George and Maude Posey; and his son-in-law Scott Tallent.
He is survived by: his wife Sherrie Lay Stephens; his daughter Veronica Stephens of LaFollette; his stepson Gage (Sierra Tucker) of Kentucky; and his siblings, Royce Stephens of Caryville, Diane Stephens of Winfield and Helen (Tony Reed) of McKinney, TX. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends.
