It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carrie Newport Brown (Oneida, Tennessee), born in Robbins, Tennessee, who passed away on August 17, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Newport and Mertha Henry Newport; her husband Boyd Brown; her siblings, Millard, Ernest Kermit (Dallas), James Newport, Bertha Griffith (Hugo) and Irene Reed (Bruce); and her great grandchild Evan Garrett.
She is survived by: her children, Harry Brown (Karen), Sheildia Young, Harriet Norris (Jack), Rita Brown and Joan Garrett (Kenneth); and her grandchildren, Brandy Rogers (Shannon), Ginger Bond (Jeremy), Christopher Brown, Jeremy Garrett (Tiffany), Joshua Garrett, Justin Young (Gina) and Derek Norris (Brian Norris). She is also survived by ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
