She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur William Nunley and Inez Gordon Nunley; her siblings, Gertrude, Bernice Lucille, Betty Odell, Arthur Thomas, Marie Paige and Paul Odessa; her spouse Willie D. White; her daughter Sherry Lee Scates; and her granddaughter Jamelia K. White.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janice Leavell (Gary) of Jeffersonville, IN and Carol Greer (Terry) of Hermitage, TN; her grandchildren, Ashlyn Scates, Garrick, Jeremy Leavell (Dorian) of Freddie, A. J. and Darren Wallace; and her great grandchildren, Kiera Enteman, Jamelia, Jalyssa, Jamar Wallace and Anthony Williams.
She was a volunteer with the American Cancer Society and the Red Cross in Germany and America, receiving certificates from the American Red Cross in Germany and from the City of Los Angeles.
