We are sad to announce that on October 6, 2021, at the age of 65, Hiram Newbern Jr. of Oakland, Tennessee, born in Brownsville, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hiram Newbern, Sr. and Mattie Belle Austin Newbern; his birth parents, Hiram Sr. and Mattie Belle Austin Newbern; his stepmother Rosie Johnson Newbern; and his siblings, Herlene Newbern, Mae Ruby Brown, Robert, John and Bradley Newbern.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Jerimiah Young of Louisiana, Terina White of Memphis and Jermaine White of Los Angeles, California; his siblings, Pearlie Mae of Oakland, Anne Ankton (Erroll) of Memphis, Tennessee, William Newbern (Frances) of Chicago, Pharis Newbern of Mt. Sherman and Joseph Newbern (Joyce) of Oakland, Tennessee; his sisters-in-law, Earlene Newbern and Eva Newbern; and his close friend Jacqueline Gilchrease. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
