He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Dotson-Montague; his wife LaShanda Tapplin-Montague; his sons, Derrick Montague, Jr., Darrius Montague and Timothy Patterson, Jr.; his brothers, Mario Pirtle (LaTasha), Jonathan Montague and Stanton; and his mother-in-law Dorothy Tapplin.
