He is survived by: his wife Diana Wolfenbarger Richard; his children, Angela Ray of Burlington, NC and Yates Richard, Jr. of Vale, NC.; his stepchildren, Eugene, Donna Barnard of New Market, Timothy, Deborah Goben, Cindy and Wayne Clark of Newport; his grandchildren, Alex Richard, Garrett Richard of Vale, NC, Bailey Bollinger of Lincolnton, NC., Robert Ray III of Burlington, NC., Taylor Bollinger of Fairfield, GA. and Ryan Ward; his stepgrandchildren, Joshua Woods, Ashley Galeano (David), Brittany Webb (Hunter), Lauren Barnard, Joslynn Hillard (William), Haley Stewart (Tyler) and Kaitlyn Schupp; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Easton Goben, Mackenzie Brooks, Emma Brooks, Madelyn Galindo, Hudson Webb, William Hillard, Leighah Hillard, Abel Stewart and Collin Phillips; his siblings, Kathy Beaver (Karl) of Vale, NC., Lori Love (Lane) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Larry Richard (Shari) of Crouse, NC and Joey Richard (Tim) of Statesville, NC.; his nephews, Shane, Lance, Steven and Ed; and his niece Bobbi Jo Carpenter.
