She was predeceased by: her parents, Josephine Martin VonEche and George Williams; her husband Leonard Ballard; her siblings, Geraldine Shelton, Ollie Jean Jordan and John E Williams, Sr.; and her granddaughter Juli Simmons.

She is survived by: her daughters, Terri Simmons and Tina Ballard; her grandchildren, Jason Simmons and Delana Davis (Dustin Wilson); her great grandchild Ahri Wilson; and her siblings, Olene Lockwood and Fred VonEche (Caroline).
