She was predeceased by: her parents, J. E. Cooper and Ruby Cooper; and her brother Harvey "Boobie" Cooper. She is survived by: her sister Sarah High (Al); her nephew Shane Couch (Kristi); her nieces, Kathy Wane (Abdoul) and Karen Cooper; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Baylee Couch, Koudoye Wane, Madilyn, Isabella Couch, Khadi, Ismaila Wane and Hadyn Haro; her cousins, Lynn Hartsell (Lula Jean), Joyce (Chris), Luke, Leia Garner, Jonathan Hartsell, Miranda (Bruce), Alli Dunn, Josephine Messer (D. J.) and David Hartsell; and also Creighton Conboy.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Janie's memory to the Junior Beta Club or Athletics Department at Newport Grammar School or to the building fund at First Baptist Church, Newport, TN.
