It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anna Kate James of Newport, Tennessee, who passed away on January 29, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Allen and Lillie Allen; her husband Robert L. James; and her siblings, Ada Lou Hardin, Alma Black, Alene Ramsey, Arlene Webb, Hardy Allen, Hal Allen and Emma Dean Allen.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Cureton (Herbert) and Dennis L. James; her granddaughter Courtney Beckner (Will); her great grandchildren, Matthew and Lillianna Beckner; her sibling Hollis L. Allen; her friend Janice Baxter; her niece Arzella Shelton (Jerry); and her caregivers, Patricia Cody and Anita Green. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
