He was predeceased by: his parents, Dillard Childress and Gerry Cutrell Childress; his sister Nina Youngblood; his wife Carole Neal Childress; and his grandson Kyle Childress.

He is survived by: his children, Dewayne Childress (Jo) and Renee Childress; his brother-in-law Bobby Youngblood; his grandchildren, Matthew Lannom, Brittany Jackson (David) and Kimi Vaughn (Justin); and his great grandchildren, Madilyn, William, Eli, Lucas, Sophia, Case and Codi.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to your favorite charity in Bill's name.
