He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Gayle Tyree; his parents, Dona Belle Carpenter Tyree and Joe Horace Tyree; and his brother Joe Carpenter Tyree. He is survived by: his daughters, Dana Walker (Terry) and Regina Smith (Myron); his grandchildren, James Bentley (Ashley), Jacob Bentley (Dawn Bearga), Gwyneth Hopkirk (William), James "Clay" Smith (Rachel), Joseph Smith, Adam Walker (Ashley) and Jason Walker; and his nieces and nephews, DeShea Wallace (Trey), Debi Stafford (Glen), Patrick Sweeney and Mark Tyree. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
