She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond D. Vickers; her sons, Jackie D. Thomas and Jerry W. Thomas; her grandson Travis Thomas; her parents, Jack Benson and Lady Katherine Benson; and her siblings, Mary Benson Crook, Buford Benson and Edward Benson (Sonny).
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Montgomery, Pam Vickers, Donna Taylor (Robert), Wanda McTyre (Bob), Bobby Thomas, Johnny Thomas (Lynn), Mark Thomas (Stephanie), Terry Vickers (Carol) and Mitchell Vickers (Chantelle); and her sisters, Betty Bess, Dorothy Dixon and Ruby Wood (Gayden). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Woodbine Funeral Home-Hickory Chapel (5852 Nolensville Pk, Nashville, TN 37211). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
