It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Byron S. Benson (Nashville, Tennessee), who passed away on August 28, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Homer E. Benson Jr.; his grandmother Myrtle W. Strode; his cousin Steve V. Strode; his uncles, Fendall Strode, Dr. Wilborn (Carolyn Strode) and William Strode; and his aunt Billie Swisher.

He is survived by: his wife Connie Benson of Old Hickory, TN; his son Timothy Benson of Springfield, TN; his grandson Collin Benson of Springfield, TN; his mother Mary Benson of Charlotte, NC; his siblings, Connie Bumpus of Hendersonville, TN and Richard Benson of Charlotte, NC; his niece Kellye Mitchell of Nashville, TN; and his nephew Shane Bumpas (Melanie).
