He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Shoemaker and Audrey Shoemaker; and his siblings, Emma Jean Cloud, Beulah Monroe, Virginia Bradshaw, Blanche Shoemaker and Herman Shoemaker.
He is survived by: his wife Bertie Martin Shoemaker; his children, Wayne Shoemaker (Theresa), Rhonda Sands and Shane Shoemaker (Karen); his grandchildren, Shellena, Travis, Josh, Cody, Olivia and Grace; and his brothers, Nile, Harold, C. L. and Alvin Shoemaker. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
