He is survived by: his wife Connie Stapleton; his daughter Laurie Gillette; his grandson Wyatt of Wisconsin; his siblings, Bill Stapleton (Sue) of Rogersville and Carolyn Ward of Kannapolis, NC; and his stepchildren, Melissa Dykes of Surgoinsville and Robert Lapierre of Kingston, TN. He is also survived by several step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
