He was predeceased by: his parents, George Henry, Sr. and Nancy Meek; his sisters, Martha and Pat; and his great grandchild Alyia Green.

He is survived by: his spouse Marie Meek; his children, George Meek III, Teresa Meek, Lucas Massengill and Janie Carter (Steve); his grandchildren, George Meek IV, Hayden Warren, Janet Green, Melanie Green, Sonia Miller and Kenneth Gunter; and also Angel "Sassy" Holt.
