He was predeceased by: his parents, James George and Ina Arbie Farris; and his grandson Nicholas Hagy. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Price George of Michie, Tennessee; his daughters, Linda Hagy (Nor) of Michie, Pam Cox (David) of Memphis, Tennessee and Janet George of Jackson, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Vin Hagy (John Hagy) of Michie, Allen Hagy, Sara (Emily Cox) of Memphis, Lauren Short (Ben) of Memphis and Brooke Sanford (Anna Goethals) of Memphis; his great grandchildren, Beckett Hagy of Nashville, Rowan, River Hagy of Memphis, Tennessee, Jacob, Luke and Samuel Sanford of Memphis, Tennessee; and his siblings, Malcom George (Verlin) of Hohenwald, Tennessee and Jean Smith (George) of Michie, Tennessee. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
