John Vincent Messina Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Vincent Messina of Memphis, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 21, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Messina and Helen Messina; his wife Peggy Messina; and his siblings, Rosie Ferrante, Frank Messina, Mary Pieraccini and Frances "Peanut" Peacock.

He is survived by: his sister Connie Wheeler of Bloomington, IL; his children, Theresa Locastro (Sam), Phyllis McGregor (Jay), Harry Messina (Becky), John Messina Jr. (Debbie) and Brenda Hohorst (Marc); his grandchildren, Rachel (Brandon), Sam "Bubba", Lacey, Jessica, Brooks and Cianna; and his great grandchildren, Dacia, Makayla, Ava, Hunter and Charlie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

The family request memorial donations to be sent to the Memphis Humane Society, The Veterans Administration and The Lung Cancer Association.
