He was predeceased by: his father Jesse Newton Fitts. He is survived by: his mother Mary Josephine Fitts; his siblings, Jesse R. Fitts (Brenda), Robert Fitts (Betty) and Carol Fitts Woodard; and his nephew Ricky Fitts. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
