She was predeceased by: her husband Douglas Leon Scates; her parents, Thomas Arthur and Rosie Hazel Jones; and her sister Betty Lou Haynes. She is survived by: her daughter Dianna; her son-in-law Bob Braden of Maryville; her son Bill; her daughter-in-law Sharon Scates; her son Eric Scates of Knoxville; her grandchildren, Kathy Jones, Samantha White, Trent Scates, Daniel and Laura Scates; her great grandchildren, Maddie, Braden, Kylie Jones and Greyson; and her niece Theresa Haynes of Chicago, IL..
