We are sad to announce that on March 3, 2022, at the age of 78, Richard L. Pitner of Maryville, Tennessee passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard L. Pitner to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Otha Sr. Pitner and Stella May Pitner; his children, Richard Lee Pitner Jr. and Regina Ruthel Pitner; and his siblings, James Pitner, Esther Roberts, Betty Marshall, Jean Strickland, Dorothy Bliss, Gladys Hannah and Judy Goforth.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Evelyn Pitner; his daughter Cynthia; his son-in-law David Swainbank; his siblings, Otha Pitner Jr. (Sharolyn), Donald Pitner, Charles Pitner and Brenda Moore (Montie); and his close friends, Larry and Judy Rains. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Richard's name to St. Jude's Children Hospital or Samaritan's Purse.
