He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Bivens; his parents, Hamp Bivens and Oda Bivens; and his siblings, Lester, Hubert, Delbert Bivens and Dixie Matthews.
He is survived by: his children, Jewell Bivens White, Norman Bivens (Debra), Hollie Randolph (Malcolm) and Scott Bivens; his grandchildren, Katie Adams (Harley), Lindsay Bivens and Jason Bivens; his great grandchild Sevvy; and his sister Bertha Ownsby. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
