He was predeceased by: his son Scott Best; and his parents, Nathan Best and Marie Best. He is survived by: his wife Wilma Goodson Best; his daughter Tracie; his son-in-law Danny Gordon; his grandchildren, Lindsey, Cameron, Christine and Michelle; his great grandchild Auron; his brother Ralph; and his siblings-in-law, Frances Best, Norman Goodson and Luther Goodson Jr.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
