He was predeceased by: his parents, Selma Bernath and Edwin Bernath; and his sister Shirley Nofziger (Don). He is survived by: his friend Carol Bernath (Znidarsic); his family Donn; his wife Carol; his daughter Amy (Ian Jobe); his granddaughters, Angela and Selene; his niece Julie Earnest (Bill); his great-nieces, Megan Foos and Mindy Earnest; and his nephew Mike Nofziger (Judy Fish). He is also survived by four nephews, two nieces, and their children.
The family suggests that memorials be given to the United Methodist Church of Macedonia or to Haven of Rest Ministries in Akron, Ohio.
