It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles William Ferst III of Maryville, Tennessee, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on May 20, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ferst and Dorothy Ferst; and his wife Pamela Bates Ferst. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer "Jennie" (Kevin Parr) and Christa (Kevin Honaker); his grandchildren, Charles, Madeline, Gretchen, Jacob and Martin; his brother Glenn; his sister-in-law Candy Ferst; his sisters, Ellen (Gary Turnquist) and Doris (Steve Horton); his siblings-in-law, Bob and Joy Bates; and his close friends, Bo and Pam Taran. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Maryville Christian School, the music ministry at Maryville First United Methodist Church, or the Blacksburg High School band.
