She was predeceased by: her parents, Morgan P. Caffy and Fannie B. Caffy (Carter); her husband Lee R. Jernigan; and her brother Frank Caffy. She is survived by: her son Ricky Jernigan (Faye); her grandchildren, Morgan B. Jernigan (Crystal) and Terri Zapotocky (Mike); her great grandchildren, Lane Jernigan, Kinsley Perry (Brian), Mercedes Jernigan, Amira Jernigan, Armani Jernigan, Brendon Jernigan, Ava Hopper and Keyanna Rice; and her niece Martha Hopkins.
