He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Bush and Emma Bush (Crews); and his siblings, Gary Bush, Randall Bush, Windell Bush, Lucille Sherrill and Lucretia Bush.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Bush; his children, James Pogue, Jerry W. Bush Jr., Bruce Bush and Crystal Roulett (Jennifer Fults); his brother Winfred Bush; and his grandchildren, David, Emily, Rebecca, Trenton, Andrew, Halie, Jordan, Issac and Elijah. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
