He is survived by: his wife Faye Simmons; his brother Waymon Simmons; his granddaughters, Leslie Beaty (Will) and Emily Skinner (Eddie); his great grandchildren, Aria Beaty, Emmie Kate Skinner and Sophie Grace Skinner; and his daughter Sharon Gilliam. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
