He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Thomas and Vivian Hawk Thomas; and his siblings, Charles, Gladys, Pascal Thomas, Nell Perry and Juanita Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Banks Thomas; his daughter Amy Rutledge (Marc); and his grandsons, Cameron "Cam" and Nate Rutledge. He is also survived by fur baby, "Scrappy"; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
