He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Grainer and Henry Schnabel; his brother Richard "Richie" Schnabel; and his granddaughter Isabella Rosemary Schnabel. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Schnabel; his siblings, Henry Schnabel, Arthur "Artie" Schnabel (Laura), Carol Ciesielski and Linda Bajnoczy; his son Michael Schnabel (Filipina); his sisters, Diane Murphy and Janet Young; his grandchildren, Caitlyn Murphy, Samantha Fichten (Christopher), Melissa Sadler and Kyle Murphy; and his great grandchild Caden Eley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
