She was predeceased by: her brothers, Robert J. Oare Jr. and Stephen Oare, Sr.. She is survived by: her husband Ernest E. Handy Sr.; her children, Ernest E. Handy Jr, Victoria Handy Getman (William) and Vernon James Handy Sr.; and her siblings, Darrell Oare and Hettie Kipp.
