He was predeceased by: his siblings, Melvin Burton, Johnny Burton, Robert Burton, Carl Burton and Sue Mims.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Derry of Bon Aqua, TN; his children, Luke Burton of Clarksville, TN, Anastasia Burton of Chattanooga, TN and Audra Adams; his stepsons, Mark Harrington and Ray Harrington of Lyles, TN; and his siblings, Dewey Burton of Goodlettsville, TN, Mary O'Brien of Colorado and Betty Potts of Lyles, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, ten grandchildren, and many friends.
