He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Lawson and Marie Lawson Tharrington; his stepfather Skip Tharrington; his siblings, Janet Lawson Vick and Darrell Lawson; and his nephew Paul Vick.
He is survived by: his wife Shelia Lawson; his sons, Bill Lawson and Greg Lawson; his grandchildren, Lakin Lawson, Amos Lawson, Savannah Lawson and Sam Lawson; and his sisters, Patsy Standford, Lori Gorman and Adrienne Morrell. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, uncles, aunts along with a host of friends.
