He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Dancy and Hester Cleary Dancy; and his siblings, Virgie Taylor, Mae Hash, Bill Dancy, Ray Dancy, Elbert Dancy, Roy Dancy and Sam Dancy.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Lea Dancy; his daughters, Melissa Dancy Osborne (Eric) of Jefferson and Lisa Dancy Dishman (Charles) of West Jefferson; his stepsons, Scott Marsh (Tammy) of Pisgah Forest and Robert Marsh (Julie) of Travelers Rest; his siblings, Robert Dancy of West Jefferson, Linda Weaver (Earl) of Hudson and Myrtle Shatley of West Jefferson; his parents-in-law, Gladys and Bill Miller of Livingston; his brother-in-law Dr. Gary Miller (Susan) of Woodstock, Georgia.; and his close friend Dave Roberts of Livingston. He is also survived by four grandsons and four granddaughters and one great-grandson.
