He was predeceased by: his brother Barry Townsend. He is survived by: his siblings, Lyman and Wilma Threadgill Townsend; his wife Elaine Fesmire Townsend; his sons, Justin (Candy) of Wildersville, TN, Brad of Austin, TX and Clay (NIchole) of Chattanooga, TN.; his granddaughters, Hattie Townsend and Ashley McKenzie; his great grandchildren, Aubrey and Riley Smith; his brother David Townsend; and his aunt Imogene Frye.
